Police Investigation: 19-Year-Old Chas Allen Pittman, of Galt Charged in Circuit Court With First-Degree Tampering

An arrest has been made in relation to an incident that occurred in Grundy County about a year ago, according to the authorities. Circuit court has charged 19-year-old Chas Allen Pittman of Galt with first-degree tampering.

The warrant claims that on October 6, 2023, Pittman is alleged to have received, owned, or sold a 2006 Honda Ruckus motorcycle. Deputy Sheriff Seth Cox looked into the Laredo incident and issued the probable cause statement. According to the statement, Pittman purportedly removed multiple pieces from the motorcycle and then sold them to a different person.

Pittman was taken into custody on Thursday, and a $15,000 cash bond has been issued for him. Pittman’s bond stipulates that he is not permitted to speak with the victim. His subsequent court date is set for Tuesday, September 24, in the Grundy County Circuit Court associate division.
