Fatal Accident: Kristine Andrews, 36 Identified as Victim of Hit-and-Run Accident in Springfield, Suspect Arrested
SPRINGFIELD
: The victim of the hit-and-run fatality on Monday has been identified by the Hampden District Attorney’s Office.
The 36-year-old woman pedestrian who was flung against the Boston Road fence of St. Michael’s Cemetery after being hit by an approaching car was Kristine Andrews.
According to a statement from the district attorney’s office, the Springfield police were called to the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Monday.

: After fatally striking a pedestrian late on Monday, authorities say an 18-year-old Springfield man fled a gory scene. He is now facing charges.
According to Springfield police, the pedestrian’s body was thrown onto a nearby cemetery’s property by the crash. The adult woman’s body found impaled on a fence, according to one officer.
According to Springfield police, the unnamed adult woman passed away at the scene from her injuries.
