Fatal Crash: 44-Year-Old Bridgett Pearson of Tennessee Identified as Victim Killed After CSX Train Crashes Into Car
Tennessee resident Bridgett Pearson, 44, has been recognized as the victim of the deadly collision, per a Tennessee Highway Patrol investigation.
According to THP, neither the 55-year-old passenger Bonner Hardestie nor the 43-year-old CSX train driver GK Hicks have been listed as injured.
Pearson failed to stop for the railroad crossbars on Evans Street while driving east in their 2015 Infiniti QX6, according to THP. The automobile kept going through the crossing and collided with the northbound CSX train that was riding the tracks.
According to THP, the vehicle skidded across the dirt and gravel before coming to an abrupt halt off the road. On the rails, the train was able to stop under control.
As of yet, no charges have been made public.
