Jonty Evans Obituary; Missing Nantwich Teenager has been Found Dead by Suicide, Family Mourns
Family and friends of the missing 16-year-old teenager from Nantwich have been left heartbroken following reports of a body found. Law enforcement agencies say Jonty Evans died from an apparent suicide this weekend. He was found dead Sunday evening following a search.
According to reports, Police search crews discovered a body this evening while looking for missing Nantwich teenager Jonty Evans. They confirmed that a body was discovered at approximately 5.15 p.m. today.
Officers and search and rescue teams have searched the River Weaver, Nantwich Lake, and the weir at Mill Island. Jonty, from Baddington, went missing on Friday night at about 11 p.m., and his suitcase was discovered on Mill Island on Saturday morning.
Friends and family also joined the search today. A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 5.13 pm on Sunday 1 September, police searching the River Weaver near Riverside, Nantwich, as part of inquiries into the report of a missing teenager, sadly found a body. “While formal ID has not yet taken place, it is believed to be that of the 16-year-old boy who has been missing since 30 August from the Nantwich area.
Jonty Evans Missing – Cheshire Police Investigations
The police are becoming increasingly concerned about the disappearance of a 16-year-old youth. The last time Jonty Evans was observed in the Queens Drive area of Nantwich was between 10:45 pm and 11:15 pm on Friday, August 30. He has not been seen since. He has been described as having mousy brown curtain-style hair, a slender build, and standing at approximately 5ft 9in., he is white.
