Rebecca Olsen Obituary San Jose, California: San Jose resident Rebecca Olsen, 47, lost her life in a horrific wrong-way crash on Highway 85 on Monday. Olsen was named by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday.

The collision happened at approximately 3:40 p.m. when the California Highway Patrol received complaints of a pick-up truck traveling in the wrong direction on northbound Highway 85, close to Saratoga Avenue. A 14-year-old kid who was in the car with Olsen also died in the disaster. A little over ten minutes later, Olsen and her young companion were riding in the Tesla when the truck struck them squarely.

Duncan McQuarrie, 39, the pick-up truck driver, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Authorities want to suggest to the district attorney’s office that McQuarrie be charged with felony manslaughter.
